Femmenomics In The Oikos

Cardboard sign with handpainted text, "LSE - London School of Exploitation"
26 April - 31 May 2017 Marrickville, AU

In this module we will consider feminist interpretations for re-working the economy and the associated interrogations of affective, emotional and cognitive capital as it intersects with the ordinary and everyday - as reproductive machines of labour and intersectional accounts of the female and not-female and other, and more-than-human domains.

What happens when you include/exclude the messy slippery porous body in designing economy - how have women’s reproductive rights been central to control of resource distribution. This module will attempt at queering the economy through the investigation of embodied capital.
